After searching for hours on end for genealogy information on the web about my family, I realized that there wasn't really any free information for us green part-time genealogists to find on the Skinner's and related families. That is what has driven me to create this web site, to help supply information for others, and so that I don't have to keep making copies of my notes and photos to mail out over and over again.

*NOTE: I AM NOT A GENEALOGIST OR CLAIM TO BE. INFORMATION HERE IS TO HELP FIND YOUR ROOTS AND ALL INFO IS NOT VERIFIED AND SOME NEEDS MORE RESEARCH. PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT!

There are possible leads that are not substantiated and need more research. I have only listed these as food for thought and are not to be taken as fact. My background of family research started learning from a former Morman friend who I used to work with in the early 1990's. He was very active in his belief in the genealogy area and very experienced. I do this as a hobby like many others, and perhaps I do not take my genealogy work as serious as others, but I do try to be as accurate as possible or to the best of my knowledge which may not be that of a professional genealogist.

What I have here on my website is not the full extent of my research and I have many copies of files, photos, copy of census records that may be available for the asking through email. (Yes, I finally fixed the email issue!)

In many cases, I have been able to take digital photos from the DC archives, brought them home, inhanced the strength of the writing, making the records more legitable. I have been able to unscrabble some questions that other family members have had on their ancestry because they could not read the census correctly.

I have included my family photos, descendants of Isaac A. Skinner and his ancestry, an except of "Meet the Family" which is a book compiled and resides at the Daughter's of American Revolution (DAR), and other information. Please feel free to submit the form and add additional information, photos, and corrections or changes to the existing information, but please contact me through to provide proof where needed, or fill out the ancestry form.

Please feel free to send me, Theresa (Teri) Anne Skinner Twigg, any information or forward any questions you have on the Isaac A. Skinner ancestry or other related families to my or fill out the ancestry form.

I want to thank all the family members who helped compile this website by donating what information and photos they had collected themselves, and also to those other family members who will contribute in the future.
